Keynote 2010

Jonathan Robinson is an anthropologist, writer and entrepreneur. He is a founder and director of The Hub, the place for people with world-changing ideas. The Hub has borrowed from the best of a members club, a business incubator, an innovation agency and a think-tank to create a very different kind of institution. Hubs can be found in 25 cities around the world, in places as diverse as London, Amsterdam, Johannesburg, San Francisco, Sao Paulo and Mumbai.

Jonathan has written the book ‘careers un-ltd’ published by the penguin group, designed interventions for the Barcelona 2004 Cultural Festival, taken on the Royal Festival Hall to host a weekend millennium festival of music and debate, helped Leeds City Council raise £15 million to start community hubs, joined an aid mission to Bosnia during the war, made a budget-film in West Africa, interviewed the Dalai Lama for Amnesty International and worked to create knowledge flows between UNICEF’s network of practitioners in the world’s conflict zones. Jonathan thrives on collaborators with a multi-disciplinary team of architects, scientists, investors, filmmakers, technologists and activists.
 

Keynote 2010 

Silje Vallestad er trebarnsmor og høyt utdannet innen økonomi og ledelse. Hun ble kåret til årets økonomistudent i 2004 basert på hennes gode akademiske resultater og frivillig arbeid.

Vallestad har siden 14-års alderen vært drivkraften bak flere frivillige organisasjoner, bade på lokalt, nasjonalt og internasjonalt nivå. Løsningsorientering og nytenking har stått sentralt i alt hennes arbeid.
Hun opparbeidet et bredt internasjonalt nettverk da hun studerte på United World College of the Atlantic (1995-1997) som har spilt en stor rolle i hennes senere arbeid.

I 1997 etablerte Vallestad og Jonathan Robinson en internasjonal organisasjon kalt World Voices, og hun mottok Ole Vig-prisen for arbeidet hennes med boken “Har du 2 sekunder?”, som var én av organisasjonens initiativer. I 1998 spilte hun en sentral rolle i etableringen av Students Forum 2000 (Praha), under veiledning av president Vaclav Havel. Hun har deltatt på flere prestisjetunge internasjonale konferanser som ungdomsrepresentant og har gjennom sitt engasjement hatt muligheten til å samarbeide med Dalai Lama, Hillary Clinton, Fredrik Willem De Klerk, Arne Næss, Vigdis Finnbogadottir og Anita Roddick.

Silje er en entreprenør av natur, og har en omfattende erfaring med kommunikasjonsarbeid og som prosjektleder. Hun har gjentatte ganger bevist at hun gjennomfører de prosjektene og initiativer hun setter i gang.
